I've been getting pains around my torso when i breathe since this weekend. It first started in one central spot and eventually spread to my back. I randomly choked up now and then but it wasn't constant either. I actually went to the doctor today because my doctor didn't have any openings until this morning. So my appointment was this morning at 8:45 I got to sleep in an extra hour

D! When we got there, the doctors office was really busy D:! I ended up waiting like 15minutes and then I was checked by the nurse first and waited a bunch of time after that. My doctor was unsure of what my problem was so the nurse came back to run some test on me. After, my doctor still was unsure but she thought that I may have developed asthma or have a small crack in my rib. So she had me go to the hospital to get an xray and blah blah S: I ended up getting to school at 11:04 (a minute before 4th period ended).
I wasn't really sure what to think. I just wanted this pain to stop, which she prescribed me to some pain killers.
When I got home, I got a call from my doctor telling me that I had Pneumothorax which she explained that my lungs leaked into the lining. This didn't really give me a good picture but she told me that I should go to the ER.
So then I ended up in the emergency room...my dad met my mom and I there since he had work. I ended up in the same room where my grandpa was in when he had the same condition except he had water leaking in and not air, though his condition was much worse.
Of course I had to wait in the bed thingy all strapped up, very uncomfortable

Hours and hours as nurses and several doctors came in and out. They all told me more about my condition while they checked the xray scans that I had done earlier that day at another hospital. They explained that there is a small space of fluids between my lungs and my chest. What happened with me is that my lungs leaked air into that small space which causes all the pains in my body. After hours of waiting and talking with nurses and doctors, the last doctor came and spoke with me about how bad my condition was. She told me that the amount of air in that space was not a lot. It was very minimal, or at least not enough that I would need to have a tube in my chest to get it out

It's actually suppose to heal itself over time.
Even so, she had to call the other doctor to check with him/her to see if I should get scanned to see my entire chest for these pockets of air. In the end, I was able to leave, but unfortunately the doctor told me that it's likely to occur again. It may come back worse too. If it gets so bad, it will not allow my lungs inflate properly and my lungs could just collapse.
I'm not allowed to go to gym until farther notice S: But I can return to school, though I have to watch out for shortness of breath or any trouble with breathing.
